Depends How You Look At It (Eagle Lake & Blue Mountain Lake, NY) was made while in residence at the Blue Mountain Center in New York. The video peers at human and non-human activities both above and below the surfaces of the two lakes on the property. It employs split screen footage taken simultaneously with one camera below the waterline and another above the waterline. The work explores how divergent perspectives provide radically distinct yet fundamentally interrelated views of the same subject.
